A Little Advice…

A little advice from the photographer:

Are you just looking for some sexy pictures for your boyfriend or husband?

DON’T PANIC

We will get great shots of you! Everyone has flaws and my specialty is overcoming those flaws. I’ll help you pose and we will plan your shoot and what you should bring with you. Take a look at the retouch gallery. You can and will take a great shot!

ASK QUESTIONS

If you have ANY questions before your shoot about what you should bring, don’t hesitate to ask. Part of my job is to help you plan your shoot and select what you should bring.

BUT I’M NOT A MODEL

That’s not a problem! I work with everyone from beginners to seasoned models. I’ll help you and we’ll get some great shots.

Models:

Are you new to modeling or looking to improve as a model? Looking for some tips to getting started. Here is a couple of things I tell every model…

DO YOUR MIRROR TIME…

It may sound crazy but sit down and spend some time in front of a mirror. Learn what facial expressions look good on you. Try closing your eyes and making the same exact facial expression. Get to the point where you can make that facial expression without the mirror!

EMOTIONS…

Try making a list of emotions and figure out how you can transfer these emotions into an expression that looks good on you. Try emotions like: HAPPY, SAD, CALM, EXCITED, SEXY, ASHAMED, PLAYFUL, TEASING, GUILTY, MAD, SHY, etc. Here’s a great website with a list of emotions you can use.

ACCESSORIZE…

When you come to a shoot, don’t worry so much about the poses you’ll need to do. That’s the photographer’s job to help you. BUT, bring accessories for your clothes… purses, necklaces, earrings, heels, baby oil, etc.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX…

When you’re planning your outfits to bring, bring unusual outfits. Got a Halloween costume? Bring it. Got a shirt that you seldom wear out in public? Bring it. Bring something unusual. It will make your shoot more original.

BUT, BRING THE STAPLE ITEMS…

There are a few things everyone should bring to a shoot… jeans (nice ones and ripped up jeans), a tank top, heels, and cutoff shorts

GOT AN IDEA?

Have you seen a picture you’d love to shoot? Don’t do that exact same picture. You’ll seldom get the exact picture. Different models and different body types will produce a different picture each time. Ultimately, copying a picture will be a bit of a disappointment besides being unoriginal. BUT, use the idea to figure out how to do your OWN version of the picture. Make the idea your own!

BUILDING A PORTFOLIO?

Variety is the key to a nice portfolio. Don’t try to shoot every idea in one shoot. Don’t try to get a complete portfolio in a single shoot. You’ll be disappointed. Sure, you need a nice headshot, a full body shot, some fashion, some glamour… but mix it up. Shoot with different photographers…every photographer will come up with something different to do.

FINDING A PHOTOGRAPHER…

But, find a photographer who has a style that fits what you want to do. Look at the photographer’s portfolio. Ask for references. Talk to people who have shot with that photographer.

SHOOTING WITH ME…

I love creative people. I love fun shoots! I like to meet for a consultation prior to the actual shoot. It won’t take long but it let’s us plan the shoot before the actual day. Drop me a message and let’s get something planned!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder… But I can make you look good.
Just kidding! Try to laugh everyday.
