GMO Musical
On Sunday, August 28th, three churches came together to celebrate Family and Friends Day at The Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Members from Prospect Baptist and Holy United Baptist churches joined forces with Mt. Olive on this very hot afternoon. Those who came out were not disappointed as the Spirit filled the place.
Song selections included “Expect the Great”, “We Offer Praise”, “Let the Word Do the Work” and “Wonderful God”. One of the choir’s favorite was a re-arranged version of “I’ll Go (by Myself)” where they told the audience that they would “sweep-sweep, sweep-sweep, swee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-eep” by themselves.
Family and Friends Day was sponsored by the Young Adult ministry of Mt. Olive. It’s a time for family and friends to come together from different churches to worship and fellowship with one another. The theme “One Mind, One Heart, One Love, One Purpose” was taken from Philippians 2:1-4.
